is the Southern Poetry Conference?
Answer: The conference is FREE and open to the public
2. Do I have to register on Friday?
Although we would love everyone to participate in the entire conference,
we understand that you may have other obligations. Therefore you can register
at anytime during the conference.
3. Should I register on-line?
We would deeply appreciate you registering on-line. This allows us to
be properly prepared for the amount of people at each event.
4. Can I bring my children?
We encourage participants to bring their children. We will have a separate
area for children workshops and storytelling. We will not accept children
under 13 without parents.
5. How do I register for the Children's Slam Competition?

6. What are the stipulations for the children's slam?
Each participant must be 18 or below and have three pieces prepared. The
pieces can not be longer than 3 minutes. You may want to take into consideration
crowd response. There will be no curse words allowed. For any further

7. What is Auburn Afterhours?
Auburn Afterhours is a celebration of Spoken Word. This year will feature
the poetic stylings of Goode Stuff Entertainment Artists: HBO Def Poet
Jon Goode, HBO Def Poet Malik Salaam, HBO Def Poet Amir Sulaiman, and
Laffapalooza's Own Spinxx. The event will be hosted by HBO Def Poet Bonnie
and opened by HBO Def Poet Faona. This event begins at 7:30PM. Dress to
Impress means that you can dress however you do when you want to impress.
8. Will there be networking sessions?
Each evening you will have an opportunity to meet and network with participants.
